The short version
I collect the details you type into the contact form so I can reply to you. That is it. No tracking cookies, no ad pixels, no selling or sharing your data. Ask and it gets deleted.
What I collect and why
When you use the contact form, I store your name, business name, email, phone number if you give one, and your message. The lawful basis is legitimate interest: you asked me about my services and I need those details to respond. Basic technical logs (such as IP addresses in server logs) are kept by the hosting provider for security and are not used for profiling.
Where it lives
Form submissions are stored in a database hosted in the UK/EU (Supabase, London region) and a copy arrives in my email inbox. Both are access-controlled and used only by me.
How long I keep it
Enquiries are kept while we are talking and for up to 12 months afterwards in case you come back, then deleted. If we become client and supplier, invoicing records are kept as required by UK tax law.
If you become a client
For clients I also hold the details needed to run the project and the contract: your agreement, invoices, and the content you give me for your site. Contract and invoicing records are kept for 6 years as required for UK tax purposes. Where your website's enquiry form sends customer data to you, you are the data controller for your customers and I act only as a processor, as set out in the terms of service.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email jamal@hitpapers.uk and it will be done within 30 days, usually the same week. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
